• Updating the EHS program from the traditional “Officer” model to the current Safety Management System model
• Review of construction plans for new buildings and rehabilitation for occupational, environmental, and patient safety and health concerns
• Observation, training, and developing programs for:
  • Ergonomics--computer, back/lifting for patient and material handling, trades, lab work, office, janitorial, central supply
  • Chemical Hygiene/Chemicals in Lab Standard, Hazard Communication
  • Hazardous chemical waste program and minimization
  • Monitoring chemical exposures such as formaldehyde, ETO, mercury, solvents, etc.
