Not surprisingly, indoor marijuana growing has many of the same hazards as other green house operations. The hazards range from biological to chemical to physical. Specifically, skin and respiratory allergens and potential for hypersensitivity, molds, increase in some atmospheric gases, pesticides, falls, and electrical hazards.

All work operations (not just marijuana growing) should be assessed for hazards. Then, the hierarchy of controls should be applied. These include eliminating or substituting out the hazard, engineering controls like ventilation, changing work schedules, or wearing personal protective equipment.
